Meagan Roberts

I am currently studying Criminology and criminal justice at University Campus Oldham, I started on the 25th of September and i am really enjoying it.

I am a full time mum and i love spending all the time i can getting active with my child, like going for walks as we love to keep fit. He is the reason i want to do better and work hard in anything i do.

I worked full time at Mcdonalds as my first job in october 2017 and i worked there until August 2019, I was a crew member and this job consisted of greating customers, keeping on top of cleaning, customer service, making food and cashing tills. I learnt many different skills working here and I use many of these skills today, such as good time management and good customer service.

When i left McDonalds I got my second job at The Famous King George pub. I worked here from October 2019 until March 2021. As bar staff i was expected to serve alcohol, greet customers, wait on customers and cash in tills. I learnt many more skills from this work place such as dealing with difficult customers, how to work well under pressure and how to deal with longer shifts.

In my time off from leaving The Famous King George up untill starting University, I raised my child for 2 years before finding out what I wanted to do with my life and this was to study Criminology as this is something i have always found interesting. If you are reading this now, it is because i want to find a part time job to do along side University as i want to use my spare time doing something productive and learning new skills that will stay with me.
