I am a 19-year-old University student at the University of Birmingham, hardworking and reliable. Since age five I have been a member of the Scout Movement progressing from Beavers to Sea Scouts gaining many skills and experiences helping me to develop my potential as an individual but also proving the opportunity to develop skills and experience as both a team player and as a team leader. The highlight was being selected to represent the United Kingdom at the World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in summer 2023.
This was a unique opportunity to experience a new culture and country which was further enhanced by the challenges of extreme weather leading to evacuation from the camp which was not fully completed, lacking water and shelter, and supporting those who were unwell and finding the conditions difficult to navigate. I have experience in hospitality, working as an assistant in an Ice-cream Parlour for 6 months as well as working in a café at a fishing lake for nearly 1 and a half years, which involved managing bookings and visitors as well as providing the refreshments and ensuring the café ran smoothly, was stocked and cleaned. I currently work at C-Side spa at Cowley Manor where I work on reception as well as completing Spa Attendant duties, ensuring that I am a flexible member of the team.
I am eager to work more within the hospitality sector to broaden my experience and further develop my customer service skills.
