I am an extremely confident, professional, and outgoing person who thrives under pressure and dedicated to being the best I can be at all times. Adept at communicating and building rapport with people on all levels which is perfect for the environment I work in. I always have a positive outlook on life and am not easily defeated.
My approach is always systematic and methodical, and I work effectively as part of any team or equally on my own initiative. I am hardworking, adaptable, determined, tenacious and pride myself on being reliable, punctual, and organised.
For many years I have been employed as a Teaching Assistant (TA) with an SEN (Special educational Needs) stipend, in the Junior Resource Base for Speech and Language. My role included delivering Speech and Language Interventions, alongside administering the daily routines and expectations that are crucial to the wellbeing and learning outcomes of the children under my care. I held a crucial role as an SEN TA with the responsibility of supervising a Nurture Class.
This class held only four pupils for the entire day to accommodate their unique needs and behaviours. My role has, amongst others, included maintaining boundaries and expectations that have been put in place through support plans devised by The Positive Behaviour Team. I have worked well alongside other professionals by following plans and advice from SALT, EP, OT, and Physiotherapists for individual children.
I also have a role in encouraging and preparing the children to eat a healthy, balanced, and varied diet at both snack and meals times. Observing, recording, and assessing learning ability, skills, and behaviour throughout the day, all the while diffusing difficult situations.
