Throughout my career, I have found the greatest satisfaction in supporting others, whether in healthcare, education or customer service. These roles have helped me to develop strong communication, organisational and client care skills, but they have also made me realise that I want to build a career around my genuine fascination for animals. Caring for my two rescue dogs whilst learning about canine behaviour from a dog trainer, supporting an overseas dog rescue and seeing the positive impact a Hearing Dog has had on a member of my family, have all reinforced my desire to work within the veterinary profession.
I understand that becoming a Veterinary receptionist is about much more than answering phones and booking appointments, it is about supporting clients through happy moments, difficult decisions and emotional situations whilst helping the veterinary team provide the highest standard of care. I believe my background has prepared me with this foundation, and I am keen to learn, develop and build a long-term career within veterinary practice with the ambition of progressing into an animal care role in the future.
