As a Localisation QA Team Lead and tester, I ensure that games are accurately and consistently translated into Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong and Taiwan markets. I work with multiple clients and platforms, testing games for functionality, linguistic, and cultural issues, and reporting bugs in Jira. I have successfully delivered over 20 projects with high quality and efficiency, meeting the deadlines and specifications of the clients.
I am also a freelance translator and editor, with a passion for language and communication. I translate and transcreate copies from English to Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong) for various purposes and industries, such as marketing, education, and entertainment. I have also handled editorial work for publishing books at Good Year Trading Company, a leading publisher in Hong Kong.
I have contributed to the publication of two books, "Keto with Zoe" and "6 Castle Road", which are bestsellers in the health and fiction genres.
I hold a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from Cranfield School of Management, where I gained valuable knowledge and skills in business management, innovation, and leadership. I also have a Bachelor of Arts and an Associate of Arts in Language Interpretation and Translation from Lingnan University, where I honed my linguistic and intercultural competencies. I am certified in strategic management and leadership by the Chartered Management Institute, and in machine translation post-editing by RWS Group.
I am a motivated, adaptable, and collaborative professional, with a keen interest in localisation, translation, and editing. I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies, and to apply them to my work. I am looking for opportunities to leverage my expertise and experience in the localisation and publishing industries, and to create value for the clients and the users.
