In September of 2023 I attended sir john Deanes sixth form college where I did I year in psychology, sociology and health and social care where I leant the importances of people skills and how different attitudes and behaviors can impact those around you. After my year at Sir John Deanes, I found an apprenticeship for level 2 production chef at the Wharton park which I have been completing since November 2024. This apprenticeship has not only taught me how to cook for a large quantity of people but the how to manage my time effectively as well as how to ensure the top level of communication is used at all times to ensure the smooth running inside the kitchen these are skills I feel I already had but was definitely able to improve on over the last year, these skills are those that I will be able to take with me in the future into different job roles.
I consider myself hardworking, organized, and attentive to detail. I am willing to learn new knowledge and skills as well as developing upon the skills that I have already obtained from school, volunteering, and during my apprenticeship. While at school I learnt new skills like communication, patience and observation.
Being round new people has helped to strengthen these skills.

For the last year I have been completing a level two production chef apprenticeship which is due to end in February 2026 where I have completed any task that has been asked of me as well as going above and beyond to help train new members of staff to be the best worker they can be. Pot Washer / Assistant Chef at Red Lion pub
I worked at the Red Lion pub in Winsford as a pot washer for over a year where I learnt the ability to work under pressure and do many things at once. I also learnt how to manage my time wisely whilst working in a kitchen. Whilst at the red lion I worked my way up to being an assistant chef, under the same employer I helped to run the kitchen at the hare and hounds often resulting in me completing the entire shift alone.
Volunteer at Overdene Care home (2022-06)
I started volunteering at Overdene Care home in the summer of 2022. Whilst I was there, I helped to clean and set tables as well as serving foods and drinks to residents, I would often spend time with them making sure they had everything they needed giving me a better understanding of how to show care and compassion to people I am with.
Whilst at school I gained the role of being a prefect allowing me to work with younger pupils and help them with settling into their new surroundings, this included showing them round and being available to help during breaks and lunches. During this role I had to demonstrate my knowledge of the school as well as my ability to work hard to achieve an end goal making me a role model to the younger years demonstrating to them what can be achieved if they put their mind to it.
During the summer I volunteer at a small shop where I learn skills on how to communicate with others effectively and ensuring they can receive the best customer service.
