I have recently graduated De Montfort University with a first class honours within Contour Fashion and now looking for a job to aline with this.

The experience I gained within my overseas placement has helped me acquire a wider range of skills within all areas of work, including those beyond the contour industry. I have created multiple pattern/technical packs whilst on my placement which involved working with stretch satin, mesh and fine embroidery’s, also assisting in house fittings, assisting within shoots, finalising samples, checking production samples and many more tasks. I have also developed my communication skills in speaking to the industry but also within teams, allowing my confidence to flourish.

After my placement I was offered the opportunity to continue as a freelance seamstress which clearly illustrates the amazing relationships I formed over this 11-month period, and my value to the company as a thoroughly consistent and dedicated seamstress.

As a First Class Contour graduate and a freelance seamstress, I have an ever- evolving skillset including: knowledge in pattern cutting; garment construction, working with stretch fabrics and a great understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and all Microsoft applications. Whilst studying within my final year of university I have also managed to maintain two part time jobs: within retail and as a freelance seamstress, exemplifying my highly effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
