After urban construction went into administration, I started working for myself again doing jobs ranging from plastering, decorating, tiling to fitting kitchens and bathrooms to erecting fences. I also work as a subcontractor for social housing maintenance companies.

I started out as a multi trade working in social housing homes, subcontracting to morgan sindall. Mainly refurbishing void properties ready for the next Tennant, but also doing repairs and upgrades in tennented homes.

• In December 2023 I got promoted up to a project management roll, where I would survey the jobs, order the materials, instruct the 4 operatives we had, ensure health and safety was being followed and hand over the properties when they're completed, as well as still working in my multi trade roll.
• In January of 2024, the work with Morgan Sindall quietened down so I was asked to also take on a site management roll with a contract we had with York city Council. This roll involved all the same jobs as before, managing the 18 operatives we had on site.
• In may 2024, the contract with York came to an end and I have been working as a site supervisor/ quality control manager on a large 88 apartment building in Leeds city centre. This roll required me to keep site diaries, make sure the trades were working to the site program, checking the quality of their work, creating site audit reports and ensuring any snags were completed.
• I also have been recently working in a multi trade roll again returning to other development projects the company previously completed, fixing and sorting any defects inside the 12 month defect period.

After Covid lock-down I decided to go self employed, mainly doing plastering, decorating and tiling work. I also fitted kitchens and bathrooms and did basic plumbing and joinery work
