Having recently completed a Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship with a Merit grade, I have developed strong organisational, time-management, communication and problem-solving skills through my professional experience. I am accustomed to managing competing priorities, working to deadlines, maintaining accuracy and taking responsibility for both routine and ad-hoc tasks. I have been driving since 2008 and have always enjoyed driving, particularly longer journeys and the opportunity to explore new places.

Data Analyst Apprentice at Newcastle Building Society (2022-09 – Present)

My role is to support Newcastle Financial Advisers by delivering management information, analysing business data and identifying opportunities to improve operational performance. During my apprenticeship I have developed technical knowledge across the data analysis lifecycle, applying analytical techniques to support business decision-making.

• Producing daily, weekly and monthly Management Information reports using Microsoft Excel and Power BI to monitor team performance and identify trends, anomalies and areas for improvement.
• Gathering and interpreting business requirements to develop reporting solutions that meet stakeholder needs and support operational decision-making.
• Applying data quality principles including validation, cleansing and consistency checks to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
• Developing knowledge of SQL during studies to query, manipulate and extract data from relational databases for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Utilising R during studies to explore, analyse and visualise datasets, applying statistical techniques to generate meaningful business insights.
• Gaining an understanding of structured and unstructured data, database design, data modelling and the end-to-end data lifecycle, from data collection through to reporting and governance.

Payments Assistant at Your Homes Newcastle (2013-10 – 2022-08)

Within this role I processed payment of Your Homes Newcastle's bills. This involved a variety of areas, which included:

• Invoices relating to repairs and maintenance of the housing stock.
• Utility bills of void properties.
• Invoices from stationery suppliers.
• Investigations invoices to ensure the right company is paying the correct invoice.
• Liaising with suppliers on outstanding orders.
• Invoices are checked to make sure items have been received, and the price/quantities are correct then processed on the Purchase Order Processing Tool.
• Monthly reconciliation of charity grants and provide managers with monthly breakdown regarding the current balance of charity grants.
• Processing staff mileage and expenses claims.

Finance Business Technician (Secondment) at Your Homes Newcastle (2018-05 – 2020-08)

Within this role, I provided management reporting, budget support, and evaluated key business initiatives. My duties included:
