I successfully completed my degree on Computer Visualisation and Animation at Bournemouth University in
2016 and have been working in the industry ever since. I believe the knowledge and skills I built up during this time, in combination with my background in traditional arts, make me the perfect candidate for this role.
My previous positions had a variety of facets with an emphasis in modelling, texturing and lookdev. I was responsible for the development of multiple assets, including characters, creatures, props and environments.
This aided me into getting a full understanding of complex shapes and how to interpret volume when creating models from concept designs. I have a strong knowledge of UV mapping both in Maya and UV
Layout and I have built both high and low poly models while always keeping a clean topology.
In my last role as Surfacing Artist at Jellyfish Pictures I have gained a lot of experience working on feature
Animations such as Spirit Untamed, How to Train your Dragon and several Netflix series. During my time at
MPC, I have worked on large scale live-action projects such as Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Dungeons &
Dragons and Transformers. I have been responsible for creating high quality photo-realistic textures for hero assets both hand-painted and procedural, and had the opportunity to gain experience working with Katana.
This also helped me develop strong visual skills, a good eye for detail, scale, composition as well as colour and form. I have a lot of experience working with Mari, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Zbrush and I’m currently improving my skills with Substance Designer.
During my seven years of experience in the industry I showed great communication skills with my teammates and supervisors, while always responding positively and reflective towards feedback to improve my skills. I’m very independent, self-sufficient, detail oriented and incredibly organized with a strong work ethic. I'm extremely familiar with working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and I can respond quickly and efficiently to spontaneous changes.
I am a creative and upbeat person who always has a positive attitude and sees the silver lining in every situation. These skills have been at the foundation of my successful career as an artist and have been core contributors in building a prosperous working-from-home environment within the recent years.
With my previous experience and expertise, I believe I can start actively contributing to the team as soon as possible. Thank you for your time and consideration.
