Working with Phil Stevens on various strategic options for the future of Chiddingfold GC. With ability to judge sites on their merits and potential in the ever changing marketplace, this resulted in decision to create unique golfing experience different to mainstream, based around 12 Hole Golf. Club closed end of 2023 to reopen as unique golfing venue. Subsequently sold to overseas investment company interested in converting established courses into family golf centres with less than 18 holes.

Took on two specific F&B Management roles to broaden experience. Firstly as Assistant Manager of The Hunters Inn, Romsey (Feb-June 2023) and then as Assistant Manager of The Flowerpots Inn, Cheriton (June-September 2023). These fast paced roles, managing very busy Food and Beer led outlets, have proven extremely valuable with high volume footfall, demanding efficient, well trained team from Kitchen through to FOH staff.
Managing sites in Landlord's absence, including all staff rotas and delivering record turnover. Introduced various new best practices to enhance customer experience and make team more efficient.
Family Care - Personal Leave - Winchester

Took break from Club Management to support family, primarily by looking after daughter Ava (then 2.5 years old). This enabled partner Caroline to re-establish her Winchester-based private Psychology Practice which had stopped due to Covid-19 and becoming a new mother. Once Ava was settled into Nursery, returned to work.

Started initially as short term Golf Consultant, then employed as Head Professional and subsequently promoted to Director of Golf and then General Manager. All-encompassing role with responsibility for all things golf-related including Office and Administration (normally separate departments), resulting in huge payroll savings. Turned around failing Club from losing circa £100k p/a to making profit of £100k p/a through careful restructuring, merging departments, reducing costs proportionately, implementing new processes for debt collection, sales/marketing, retention and administration. Facilitated sale to coaching client and multi-million investment into Club.
