Throughout my career I have found myself drawn to IT positions. My primary experience of IT work involves; customer service, technical service, hardware/software diagnostics, maintenance, servicing, and procurement. Since I have started I can confidently say that I have successfully carried out my roles successfully.
My current post is working for the NHS, University Health Board, as IT deployment contractor. My responsibilities are ensuring the smooth rollout of IT systems with hardware and software that is up to modern standards. My secondary role is to assist with IT issues at a 2nd line support level, working with networking issues (WAN, VPN, Cisco and Meraki for homeworking), Software deployment/management and domain/policy groups (SCCM and Active Director), server-side virtualization and other standard IT related issues (Printers issues are still a pain and continue to mystify me at times).
As an Alumni of Birkbeck University where I attended University in London, I studied Application Development where I explored the different technologies used in Database, Application and web development.
