I am a Carer. I work as a care assistant. Anything that involves health care interests me. I am kind, passionate, understanding patient, honest and loving person. I treat people equally and fairly regardless of race, age, culture, religion, gender etc

I am also a teacher by profession. I teach business studies and Accounting. As a teacher I also teach physical education, first aid skills, health and safety and personal hygiene.

I grew up caring for my triplet siblings. It involved bathing, feeding, washing their clothes, personal care etc Later on when I was older my grandmother needed care as she had become old and developed dementia. So I could make her bed, wash her clothes, prepare food and feed her among other things.

i have gained care training over the years in various fields like health and safety, loan working, working in a COVID environment, moving and handling, dementia, epilepsy, driving and work essentials, display screen equipment and many more.

Ive worked for four years at Thompson hospital adult ward and about a month at Woodstock care hom. Duties were very similar in both, like assisting with the toilet and cleaning those who can not use a toilet on their own, making them feel at home, entertaining them, encouraging them etc. Treating residents with dignity and respect is one of my core values as a Carer
