I’m a dedicated and compassionate professional with a strong academic foundation in the social sciences and mental health. I hold an HNC in Social Sciences, a BSc in Psychology, and a PGCert in Mental Health Studies. I’m currently expanding my expertise further by studying for a BSc in Mental Health Nursing.
Alongside my studies, I’ve gained hands‑on experience working in elderly care, where I developed a deep understanding of person‑centred support, communication, and empathy. I’m now looking for part‑time opportunities in tutoring or student support, where I can use my knowledge, patience, and passion for helping others to make a positive difference.
I’m especially motivated by roles that allow me to support learning, build confidence, and empower people to reach their potential.
I have extensive hands‑on experience supporting both adults and teenagers across a wide range of care and mental health settings. Through my placements and work roles, I’ve supported individuals with diverse needs, including neurodiversity, learning disabilities, and dementia.
A large part of my experience involves safeguarding vulnerable individuals, promoting independence, and motivating people who are living with mental health challenges. I’ve developed strong skills in communication, de‑escalation, and person‑centred support, and I’m confident working in environments that require empathy, patience, and professional boundaries.
My background has given me a solid understanding of how to build trust, encourage engagement, and support people in a way that respects their dignity and individuality.
I am currently studying for a BSc in Mental Health Nursing, following a direct pathway into professional practice. As a student myself, and having already completed previous qualifications — I understand the pressures, overwhelm, and unique challenges that come with academic life. This experience, combined with my background in psychology and mental health, allows me to support students in a meaningful and practical way.
I have a strong interest in helping learners with neurodiversity, and I’ve developed many effective tips and strategies for managing overwhelm, staying organised, and building confidence. I’m continually developing my listening skills and motivational interviewing techniques, which help me create a supportive, encouraging environment for anyone who may be struggling.
