Young individual looking to broaden experiences and work to the best of his ability
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, I have been restricted from being able to obtain on-hand experience. This is because most companies transitioned to a virtual system when the pandemic begun. This limited the opportunity for jobs in the real world because working or leaving the house unnecessarily were prohibited according to government guidelines and regulations.
However, Despite this I still took the initiative as during the pandemic I engaged in virtual work experience with a firm and once the pandemic had subsided in severity, I took initiative once more and worked at local supermarkets and warehouses over the last year to broaden my experiences to the best possible level I could during that time and to ensure that I can make up for the time and opportunities which had been taken away from me as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The warehouse jobs I took part in allowed me to develop the skill of being able to work in a fast-paced environment and improved my skills in working within a team as well as independently in order to achieve a goal in the most effective way possible. Alongside this working in local supermarkets allowed me to develop great interpersonal and social communication skills which I previously lacked contributing to my growth personally and professionally.
Both of these job types also aided my physical wellbeing as there was a lot of activity involved at all times allowing me to remain healthy and fit at all times.
I have achieved my GCSE Qualifications with 4 Grade 5s and 4 Grade 4s and have successfully passed both Math’s and English GCSEs to a high standard.
Awaiting Results for BTEC Level 3 Qualifications.
