Early Years Educator - Busy Bees - Rothamsted Lodge, Hatching Green, Harpenden

I worked as an unqualified Early Years Educator at Busy Bees; A nursery based in Harpenden. During my role, it was my responsibility to deliver the utmost standard of care to infants and children ranging between the ages of 0-5 years old. My duties included preparing and plating food at meal and snack times, while benefiting from my food safety and allergy training carrying out enriching activities to support and encouragement across all four essential areas of development in early years, and most importantly to carry out my practice with warmth and empathy to a high standard.
During my time here, I developed my communication skills greatly, through building a strong rapport to ensure trust and engagement between parents, children, and my colleagues.
Play-worker - Club Kidz - Greenwood Community Centre, St, Albans, Hertfordshire

I currently work as a play-worker with an after-school club based in Hertfordshire. I am trusted with the responsibility to supervise children ranging from infants and juniors whilst also caring for important responsibilities such as pick up from school and completing any accident forms if required. I also lead creative activities in small groups such as "hama beads" and crafting.
Whilst working here, I must demonstrate extra diligence to maintain social distancing rules between myself and the children during the current pandemic.
Play-worker - Jousters childcare - Wood End Primary School, Harpenden, Hertfordshire

I worked as a play-worker with an after-school club based in Hertfordshire. I was trusted with the responsibility to supervise children ranging from infants and juniors whilst also taking care of important responsibilities such as registration and snack times, taking great precautions in doing so as following my food safety and allergy training. I also led creative activities in small playgroups such as painting and crafting.
During, my time of work here, I had to demonstrate extra diligence in order to maintain social distancing rules between myself and the children during the recent pandemic.

In the hospital, I befriend patients, practice hospitality skills in offering and preparing refreshments to patients post-surgery, assist in admin duties and sanitising the ward. It is here that I have discovered a strong passion and desire in advancing my career in health care. It is essential that I communicate clearly, show empathy and understanding, and follow my training expertly.

Assisted and participated in the care of the elderly in a professional and dignified manner. Assisted in many general activities around the residence. Helped in kitchen maintenance and domestics, making beds, refilling water and emptying bins. I also sat and spoke to the residents with empathy and compassion.

I assisted in the care of children aged 1-5 years, participated in activities, and learnt new skills in childcare. I spent time reading to children and engaging in conversation with them. I was kind and understanding of them when assisting in activities in which they struggled in, I and used my communicative skills to help resolve any disputes between the children as they fought over toys at play.
