About

I am a journalist and editor with more than a decade of experience covering breaking news and in-depth features on the global investment and pensions industry, with a particular focus on the climate crisis, the energy transition and the financial system behind them. I am currently the Editor of Net Zero Investor and LGPS Editor at Room 151, where I manage a team of journalists across the two titles. I write, commission and edit news, analysis and interviews on climate, the energy transition, sustainable finance and the UK’s local government pension scheme.

My investigation into the People’s Pension divesting from State Street has been recognised with Climate & Environment Journalist of the Year at the Aviva Sustainability Media Awards 2025. I also won Pensions Journalist of the Year at the State Street Institutional Press Awards in 2025, and Journalist of the Year (Pensions) in 2024, for my critical coverage of forced mergers of local government pension scheme pools. In 2023, I also won Defined Benefit Journalist of the Year at the WTW Media Awards for my coverage of the LDI crisis and its impact on pension funds.

I have built a broad network of sources across the world’s largest pension funds, asset managers, sustainability investors, climate leaders and policy makers, breaking exclusive stories from whistleblowers at the UK’s USS to major US and UK asset owners changing investment mandates. I have had additional training in UK libel law, and I have experience in using Freedom of Information requests to obtain information for stories.
