National Infrastructure Team – Managing the Environment Agency's statutory advice for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects and their associated Environmental Impact Assessment.

• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical advice at the pre-application and pre-examination stages of the NSIP process. Collaboration was vital for success.
• Managing cost recovery agreements for pre application advice.
• Managing lower grade colleagues including training, technical reviews and mentoring.

Project Support Officer at Environment Agency (2022-01 – 2022-12)

Securing land for a future Thames barrier

• Using Geographic Information System to produce the area of interest maps for a new Thames flood barrier for the year 2070 onwards.
• Analysing the impact of building a new barrier using 12 workstreams, I identified the environmental, navigational and economic impacts.
• Identifying land parcels within the areas of interest for building a new Thames flood barrier. Liaising with area teams, and external partners was crucial.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including local planning authorities, developers and area teams.
• As BIM and IDP referencing team lead I developed a strategy for improving information management and transferring information to a Common Data Environment. Processing sensitive technical reports on a virtual cloud platform (Asite).
