My last role as Process Safety Improvement Engineer started as a secondment in May 2020. A competent team of engineers were put together to help drive change focusing on improving the on-sites process safety as requested by the Competent Authority (CA) vast improvements were required, this was groundbreaking for the business. The Energy department now has all its Process Safety Critical Equipment listed on a database with alignment to detailed supporting maintenance procedures newly developed for each piece of equipment, clearly identified on revised P&ID's and tagged in the field, ensuring mitigation is fully aligned against a Major Accident Hazard's occurrence.
