I consider my self to be a very loyal and trustworthy employee, my time keeping is excellent and I do not shy away from hard work and tricky situations, in my current job role communication and listening skills are very important in the day to day running of the business, I'm currently accountable for around 30 staff day in and out, I deal with customers as 90% of my job role, solving queries relating to missing/damaged items, to authorising refunds and returns for goods that have not met the customers expectations.

On a daily basis I would ensure smooth running of the online department, my main area of responsibility was for the GA's, as a team we were responsible for making sure vans were loaded correctly with customer shops, so the vans could hit there scheduled leave times, I would be responsible for all training and upskilling of my team members, this would cover everything from safe and legal training, role specific training, and upskilling and progression for those colleagues that we could see as new potential leaders of the future.

I would help ensure day to day running of the department went smoothly, checking on staff rotas and ensuring we had the right colleagues in the right place to give the best customer experience possible. I would help cover and unexpected shortfalls, whether that been down to staff sickness or during peak seasonal events. On my late nights when covering the department I would make sure all checks and jobs were completed to help the department open up with the best start possible to serve the customer correctly.

On a day to day basis I man the main till at the front of the store, whilst keeping displays neat and tidy, and topped up where needed, I arrange returns for customers whether it be for a refund of exchanging for different items, maintaining a high level of customer service at all times. Most Sunday's I'm in charge of cashing up and closing the store. Ensuring all end of day procedures are followed correctly and the store is lefty secure.

I was the sole career for a small infant toddler, while the mother worked, I would care for her, mon- wed and Fridays, I would prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner, plan activities, whether that was a day out, or arts and crafts at home.

My main duties include running the department in the managers absence, dealing with customer queries that cannot be solved by colleagues, and generally maintaining the department, this includes, cashing up tills to ensure correct money is available for the start of trade, ensuring schedules are correct and that all colleagues take there scheduled tea breaks and lunch breaks and arranging any Overtime that is needed to cover any sickness or absence of any kind. As a supervisor I also support colleagues where needed when it come to legal and mandatory training for there job role, this could be paper based or just general support for new colleagues that are nervous and just need someone they can speak to if they are finding something difficult.

My main duties included openings and closings at the bar, cleaning down and restocking displays, serving all customers with a good level of customer service, supporting my other colleagues on busier nights, Helping complete detail cleans when the bar was closed. I only left this role as the pub closed, I really enjoyed my time there working with the team and working in the busy environment.
Counters Team Leader - J Sainsbury's

My main duty's on this department were far more complex as this was a High risk food safety Department, I over saw 14 colleague in total, day to day it was around 8, my main responsibilities were to keep the department safe and legal, this spanned across temperature management of all back areas and products, ensuring regular checks were completed to comply with food hygiene laws to over seeing the training of my colleagues on all equipment, as I was also a trained instructor. I arranged daily huddles for my colleagues as it is a very important part of the business to ensure colleagues understand what is happening day to day on there own department but also how the entire business is performing as a whole. During my time as a Team Leader for Sainsbury's I have been on many courses and acquired many skills which are transferable to other business's, communication and listening, temperature management, high risk food safety level 2, to name just a few.

My main duty's before I became the team leader on this department were more basic, I would serve customers on a day to day basis, living our company values, ensuring customers were happy and that they were able to have everything they wanted, if this was not the case I would do everything I could to satisfy the customer, weather it was trying to find a suitable alternative or just simply checking for them, when there product was next in. I would maintain department hygiene standards to a high level, ensuring all legal paper work such as temperature checks and cleaning schedules were completed and signed at the end of my shifts, I would communicate with colleagues daily around jobs and trying to share out the work loads evenly so we could all have a good day and not one colleague would have to struggle.
Nursery nurse - Asquith Day nursery

My main duties whilst working for Asquith were varied on a weekly basis, I would work in all different area of the nursery during my time here, I covered the baby room, where my duties were to change, feed and general care of the babies was paramount, ensuring they had there naps and stimulated play times. I would help cover the running off the red room which, was for the older children, 3-4yrs old, this was more challenging as part of my roll was to think of different activities every week relating to the subject topic, one week it would be space themed, the next the wild west, all the while helping the children learn while they play, I would have a few KEY children, I would monitor what they would eat, and how they would play with others and report back daily to the parents to make sure we were meeting the parent s expectations.
