Send a job offer directly to this candidate
I am a community pharmacist with over 11 years of experience across a wide range of pharmacy settings in England, and I have recently qualified as an Independent Prescriber (2024).
I am seeking a full-time, permanent role within a GP practice or Primary Care Network in order to build a long-term career within NHS primary care. While I am newly qualified as an Independent Prescriber, I bring extensive clinical experience, strong consultation and communication skills, and a clear commitment to safe, evidence-based prescribing.
I am particularly keen to work within a supportive, collaborative GP environment and as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), working closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
I am motivated to develop my role within primary care in a way that supports service delivery and helps reduce GP workload over time, through safe prescribing, structured medication reviews, and appropriate clinical support within my scope of competence.
Through my work as a locum pharmacist across England, I have gained broad exposure to diverse patient populations, and I have consistently received positive feedback for professionalism, communication skills, and a patient-centred approach.
I am now actively seeking stability and continuity in my role, particularly following my Independent Prescriber qualification.
Patient safety, clinical governance, and working within my scope of competence are central to my practice.
I am committed to following NHS policies, local guidelines, and evidence-based practice, and I proactively seek supervision, feedback, and ongoing professional development to continuously improve my clinical and prescribing skills.
I am also fully prepared to expand my clinical skills and scope of practice gradually over time, in line with the needs of the GP practice and patient population, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professional accountability.
I believe my combination of long-standing community pharmacy experience, recent Independent Prescriber qualification, strong communication skills, and commitment to high clinical standards makes me well suited to a long-term role within NHS primary care.
