I graduated from the faculty of medicine in Tripoli Libya at 2003 and worked as a paediatrician for 11 years before l relocated to England . Now l am seeking a job as a teacher assistant in or secondary school.
I worked as a doctor for many years and since having my children and paused my medical career for their up bringing, I have decided that I would like to purse a career change and transfer my knowledge to the next generation and follow my desire to train to become a teacher assistant or a teacher.
I worked with children of different age groups for many years followed the start of my career as a paediatrician. I knew from those early years that working with children would be something I would want to do in the future. I developed an excellent understanding of their physical and mental behaviours which I believe would give me great transferable skills in the classroom.
My previous job as a doctor meant that I also learnt how to handle extremely stressful situations and schedules without causing further problems. Working with public has also improved my social skills which have made me more confident which I think will be an important skill in my chosen position as a teacher assistant.
At present, I have started a level 2 course in teaching assistant which cover some basic areas of of child development, safeguarding and equality, diversity and inclusion, and I will continue to study these and read through the important government needs as safeguarding in schools.
My knowledge about children development is very advanced based on my previous work as a paediatrician. I am apple to spot any delay in any of the four main areas of student development.
I am willing to joint your school in position that I can be able to observe teachers and learn from their experience. However, I am very keen helping in any other position such as observing children during lunch time, preparing for school activity, help with admin job.
Personally, I am a passionate person who never gives up, patient, hard worker, imagining, good communicator and love to work on team. I like to work with children and my aim is to bring open mind thinking, positive attitude and high expectations to the classroom. I believe that I will be owe to my students as well as the community on the same way I used to be a s a doctor.
