I am currently a Registered Nurse with 9 years experience in community settings providing quality nursing care to diverse populations within there own home or residence. I am a responsible district nurse with excellent communication skills demonstrated by 12 years of experience in heath care thus allowing me to carry out the correct treatment and care while liaising with colleagues, family members and other agencies when appropriate. I work effectively as part of a team by supporting one a another, as well as on my own.
Due to working in a diverse population I feel being bilingual allows me to communicate with certain patients and overcome communication barriers therefore allowing effective understanding. By working alongside GPs and other health professionals i have successfully taken part in meetings to liaise and discuss patients needs and and formulate individual plans in there best interests. Working effectively in the community has always meant i have been in charge of my own time management by prioritising my own work load and ensuring all tasks are carried out within safe practice by abiding the NMC code of conduct.
I thrive to continue developing and learning in order to maximise my potential. As well as train others around me and share my knowledge based on evidence based practice.
