As an administrator in the radiology department, I have many roles and responsibilities. I am responsible for booking appointments, corresponding with GP's, Consultants, Surgeons, radiographers and Sonographers. This will involve, ultrasounds, CT, MRI, Echocardiograms and Ultra sound guided injections.
I work closely with the radiographers and sonographers and at times assist them. I send results and reports out to GP surgeries and hospitals. I correspond with the private team and take payments for private patients.
I also make sure the patients are safe, checking MRI questionnaires, blood results, echocardiogram's, allergies etc. I must ensure health and safety is upheld at all times. I am given the opportunity to learn more about the anatomy of the human body and gain a deeper understanding.
North Somerset Council within Children and Families Services (2021-01 – Present) I have many responsibilities within this role. I am expected to liaise with police officers, health services and other organisations to organise important meetings around a child's safety and minute these meetings. I complete all tasks sent through to a secure mail inbox, from social workers and managers throughout the day. I am currently enjoying this role as I have gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience obtaining new skills. I continue to look for alternative roles within a different sector to further my experience.

Pet Sitter/dog walker/Volunteer Youth Leader and pet sitter at Walker (2011-01 – Present) Pet Services - along with my family, I look after dogs (stay with us at our family home) whilst their owners are away on holiday. This could be up anything from 2 nights to 2 weeks. My mother and walk the dogs along with my own dogs each day, which I thoroughly enjoy.
We follow a procedure including forms holding all information regarding the dogs medication/allergies/health conditions/likes/dislikes etc. My mum is also a dog groomer so I help her groom dogs of different breads.
Equine general assistant (bank) at Redwings Horse Sanctuary (2022-10 – 2023-12) During my time working at the horse sanctuary, I learnt a vast amount of sills and thoroughly enjoyed working outdoors and with horses. I have always preferred working practically with my hands and I have a huge love for animals. I was given the opportunity to learn about medication given to the horses depending on their weight and height and their environment. I was given the responsibility to weigh the horses and keep a record of this.
Pay attention to detail, being able to notice if something was wrong ie injury/illness. Understanding about quarantining horses who may have been unwell. I also given the opportunity to put a halter on several of the horses, give them a walk around the fields and groom them (brushing/picking out a horses hooves). I fed the horses and cleaned out their stables. This was a very demanding job physically but I enjoyed every minute of it.
