I am a highly motivated, hardworking and committed nurse; having qualified in January 2019, I then pursued my career within the primary care sector. I have since completed 'The Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course' in December 2021 which enabled me to progress into my role. I also have previous experience in an administrative role within a busy General Practice which I believe enhanced my knowledge further aiding me to understand all aspects of working within primary care.
I am well-mannered, compassionate and caring and I work well both within a team and lone working. I have gained the courage, through experience, to work efficiently in emergency situations and I have a great passion for nursing, primary care and continuous self-improvement. I have excellent time keeping, documentation and administrative skills and I can organise individuals and teams in order to meet objectives and complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
I am used to working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines. I completed my nurse training at the University of Wolverhampton, where I achieved a first-class degree in Adult Nursing. The University of Wolverhampton operates a 'hub and spoke' system for placements which enabled vast exposure to many different clinical areas within the nursing field; I feel having a wide exposure increased my confidence professionally and personally.
I have been exposed to medical, surgical and acute care wards, I have worked within primary care, an outpatient setting, nurse lead clinics and the community. I am involved in various multi-disciplinary teams within my role and understand the importance of multi-disciplinary working and effective communication skills. I believe I could be a great addition to your practice nursing team and hope to keep developing myself professionally and reach my future goal of being an advanced nurse practitioner.
