My name is Tasha and I am an English teacher from the UK. I am a naturally outgoing and enthusiastic person who loves learning and exploring the world. There is very little that I'm not interested in and I am always excited to hear about new ideas, different ways of living and unusual activities.
In my free time I do a lot of cycling, running, reading and writing. I am also learning Arabic, an endeavour which is difficult and time-consuming, but rewarding. I love it! I think that learning another language has made me more aware of the challenges language learners face and thus, has made me a better teacher.
I have seven years total experience teaching English as Second Language. From 2017-2018, I taught English to children in a school in the Middle East and then taught in language schools in London. I have a lot of online experience teaching children and adults from across the world in private lessons.
For the last three years I trained and worked as a social worker with families and children, however I have recently returned to English as a Second Language teaching. I am currently working part time for a school in Suffolk and also undertaking some self-employed work.
I have a BA in History and Politics (2:1).
I have a Cambridge English Learners Teaching Association (CELTA) qualification.
I have undertaken various safeguarding and PREVENT training.
I have an MSC in Advanced Relational Social Work Practice with Families and Children (Merit)
