Door Supervisor at Certified Solutions (2025-02 – Present)
Door supervisor role for over a year and a half within the Leicester city centre for a firm which holds contracts for the majority of nightlife venues. Due to the variety of different venues and crowds I have built very good experience dealing with all types of situations and issues that have arisen across my time as a door supervisor.
- Access Control: Check IDs and tickets to ensure that customers are legally allowed entry. Mark customers with a stamp or wristband to manage capacity.
- Crowd Management: Organise queues, control the number of customers inside the venue, and ensure that the environment remains safe and orderly. This includes monitoring for overcrowding and providing assistance to customers with disabilities.
- Conflict Resolution: Being on the front door of the venues, I was often the first point of contact in case of disputes or altercations and in being so, I am highly trained to de-escalate situations, manage aggressive behavior, and, if necessary, remove disruptive individuals from the premises.
- Emergency Response: In emergencies, I held the responsibility for ensuring the safety of customers, checking fire exits, and coordinating with emergency services and for this reason I became familiar with each venue's emergency procedures.
- Monitoring and Reporting: After dealing with various kinds of incidents varying from minor to seriously major, I have become skilled at creating a log of incidents, monitoring CCTV footage, and reporting any suspicious activities to management/police. This documentation has been crucial for legal and safety reasons both for aiding the police in investigations of serious incidents and to protect the business by proving the correct procedures were followed throughout the incident by security staff.
Warehouse Operative at Rhenus Warehousing & Logistics UK (2024-06 – 2024-10)
Temporary contract from June til October working within one of the Rhenus Warehouses located in Nuneaton.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles such as truck containers.
- Checking for damaged or missing items.
- Majority of time spent picking and unloading containers.
- Portions of shifts were also used to pack.
- Scan the deliveries and put them away into the necessary allocated locations.
- Keeping records of stock and updating stock records when required.
- Keeping paperwork up to date and completing necessary paperwork for deliveries etc.
Volunteer at Serbian Orthodox Church Leicester (2016-02 – Present)
- Assisted with event planning and co-ordination to promote community engagement.
- Provided support to priests during services, setting up and packing down equipment.
- Participated in volunteer projects, such as food banks and community clean-up efforts.
- Engaged with the members and visitors of the parish to provide and inclusive atmosphere.
- Co-ordinated community fundraising events and donation drives to support local causes.
- Assisted in the parish's personal Serbian language school to help younger children learn the Serbian Language.
Petrol Station Assistant / Store Assistant at Asda Leicester (2021-08 – 2023-07)
- Served customers who have purchased petrol and other items.
- Switched on the petrol pumps so that customers can fill their cars.
- Served customers who wanted to use the car wash.
- Made hot drinks and heated food for customers.
- Assisted customers who had a problem using the pumps for various reasons.
- Kept the petrol station tidy indoors and outdoors.
- Filled the shelves with any stock.
- Ordered items for the store.
- Completed daily and weekly compliance checks for safety.
- Regular cash drops from the tills into the safe.
Kitchen Staff at Pizza Hut Leicester (2019-09 – 2021-08)
- Assisted in food preparation.
- Took out any bins and cleaned equipment.
- Organised the kitchen and any dry goods.
- Cleaned the preparation area and kitchen regularly.
- Made basic drinks for customers and helped with everyday preparation.
- Made a variety of foods such as pizza, chicken wings, garlic bread etc.
- Washed all the dishes and cooking/preparation equipment and after hours cleaning up.
