I love numbers and I love numerical analysis! My passion lies in discovering trends and answering questions through data analysis. I completed my Financial Mathematics bachelors degree in 2022, with a 1st class result and an award which names my dissertation as the one in the year that “demonstrated outstanding mathematical ability“.
I have worked in the asset management industry for the three years since, two of which I spent completing an investment graduate scheme. My graduate scheme involved rotating around several teams, such as real assets research, credit research, global high yield and buy and maintain; giving me baseline knowledge in a range of areas! I then landed a full time role in the multi asset team, where I focus on both fund of funds and model portfolios for retail clients.
After completing three summer internships, two for a corporate finance firm called Oghma Partners (they asked me to return for a second year) and the last for Legal & General, I landed a graduate role in Legal & General, where I have worked since 2022. Two of those years were spent on the rotational graduate scheme and the last in the multi asset team as a portfolio analyst. During my graduate role, I spent time in: Real Assets Research, Global High Yield, Credit Research (TMT focus), Buy and Maintain and Sustainable Investing.
I achieved a first class honours in my Financial Mathematics degree, from Brunel University. I also won an award for my dissertation, which named my project as the one that “demonstrated outstanding mathematical ability”; the project was based on pricing asian options using the Black Scholes model, before increasing the accuracy of my result using various variance reduction techniques. I have completed my IMC Level 1 and CFA Level 1 qualifications.
