- Auditing and Inspection of all 'live' construction sites throughout the group from domestic housing projects to multi million complex construction projects including high rise, and high-risk projects within challenging and difficult locations
- Defining annual HSE KPI's and consistently meeting and exceeding HSE goals and metrics
- Advising on all aspects of HSE throughout the project's lifecycle including workplace layouts and design, utilising the principles of behaviour based safety and human factors
- Developing and implementing Construction Phase H&S & CEMP Plans
- Identifying and assessing hazards, recommending, developing, maintaining and implementing comprehensive systems to minimise and eradicate risk, consistently aiming for an incident-free site
- Promoting a mature, interdependent HSE culture throughout the business that delivers positive commitment to, and engage all employees in, continuous performance improvement
- Developing full and complete HSE management systems for implementation on each site to ISO 14001 and 18001 standard
- Controlling documentation and developing risk-based plans along with associated budgeting
- Constantly reviewing, assessing and adjusting to ensure compliance with CDM, LOLER, COSHH, IOSH and other guidelines
- Ensure Construction Phase Plan is suitable before commencement on site
- Reviewing company and contractor on-site safety performance, safety hazards and critical safety controls, temp works activities, lifting operations, working at height, job safety analyses and permits to work, recommending further training and new systems as required
- Introducing and Developing Group Wide Site Safety Induction for all sites
- Prepare and conduct periodical training sessions (including correct use of PPE) and ensure inductions are completed in accordance with contractual obligations
- Investigating accidents involving personnel, plant and equipment, assisting with and providing requisite reports with recommendations in a timely manner
