As a licensing officer my key role is to ensure customers are in compliance with TV licensing laws and regulations. As a lone worker i conduct compliance checks at around 60-70 properties each day to determine if a license is required. I work across the north east region meeting a range of people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
I always remain professional, empathetic and are resilient with confrontational or irate customers. I am also a field trainer where i spend 2 weeks with new recruits ensuring they have the appropriate level of knowledge, skills, behaviors and confidence to carry out the role of a field visiting officer.
