I currently work as a fetal medicine secretary to four consultants. I have to maintain their diaries, deal with the general public, nurses, drs, sonographers, consultants, as well as midwife's and drs outside the trust either by phone or email. I use quite a few In house computer systems including, Microsoft office, word, outlook, excel, in house cris system, viewpoint, careflow and K2 to check patient details, book appointments, print patients reports forwarded by sonographers as well as accepting or rejecting online referrals made by midwives, as well as managing a Pre-term birth spreadsheet and organising post natal counselling with the consultants for patients.
