Software developer with an MSc in Machine Learning in Science from the University of Nottingham and a BEng in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Most of my hands-on experience comes from a year inside a development team at Tech R, building a recruitment system that recruiters used daily, and before that a web development internship building and maintaining client sites. I've worked across the software development lifecycle: object-oriented design, JavaScript and TypeScript front ends with state management, REST API and SQL database design, automated testing, and Agile delivery.

I'm used to explaining technical decisions to people who aren't developers, whether that's the recruiters using the system I built or customers in a high-volume service role. Research Assistant - University of Nottingham

• Containerised the training workflow with reproducible HPC job scripts and multi-GPU training through PyTorch DistributedDataParallel, running the pipeline across 37,000 protein structures.
• Designed and trained a 41M-parameter diffusion model, then built an automated validation pipeline pairing COFACTOR template alignment with AlphaFold3 prediction, reaching TM-scores of 0.91-0.98.

Software Developer Intern - Tech R

• Built a resume-to-job ranking system that surfaced all 3-4 recruiter-selected candidates within its top shortlist from a 60-candidate pool, replacing a full day of manual screening and cutting screening time by 25%.
• Designed 16+ reusable components spanning profile ingestion, ranking, and screening.
• Added a PPO reinforcement-learning loop that refined match thresholds from recruiter feedback, lifting match accuracy 30% over a static keyword-based scoring system.
• Work published in IRJET (Impact Factor 8.226).
