As an artist I endeavor to tell the truth and through my work connect to the truth of others.
My creative process has always been like a shedding of restrictions that allows access to more subtle sources of inspiration. Each process has required more trust and a deeper relationship with the medium. Each painting tells me something new in a clearer voice. As my mind tells me stuff that isn’t true, the paintings tell me something else.
Supporting other artists to develop their creative processes is also an important part of my life. I am passionate about the potential of learning through the arts and supporting various stages of self-discovery through reflective artistic discipline.
I am mostly a painter, completing a number of collections over the past 2 decades, exhibiting in London and Reykjavik, Iceland. I have also worked as a writer/producer/director in theater. I love working with other artists, collaborating on a variety of levels and mediums.
Received a BA degree in photography from Manchester Met University in 2003. Received a teaching degree with emphasis on art education from Brighton University in 2007 and an MA in Fine Art from Brighton University in 2009.
