Interested primarily in neurodivergency, queerness, and gender theory. I am a student at the University of Glasgow (MSc Sociology) and have a background in education and English. I also work part time as a tutor for National Five, Higher, and Advanced Higher subjects such as English, Drama, Modern Studies, Media, and History.
INDEPENDENT TUTORING SERVICE (August 2023 - Present day)
For students who are sitting National Five, Highers or Advanced Highers, I offered one-on-one lessons with them to develop their confidence and enhance their capabilities. My subjects include English (N5/H/ADV), Modern Studies (N5/H), History (N5), Drama (N5/H) and Media (N5/H). I work with neurodivergent students a lot of the time, and develop my lessons according to their individual needs.
PAST STUDENT TEACHER (August 2023 - May 2024)
Being a student teacher in the past and a tutor in the present has left me with the ability to communicate effectively both with young people and other adults. I enjoy working as part of a team, and am friendly, approachable, and am also capable of working to targets independently. I worked in two high schools, and learned how to most efficiently meet the needs of young people of all different abilities and ages.
