Nyamedor Debrah

My name is Nyamedor Debrah, I am 21 and I was raised as an only child in the town of Reading. Having been my own companion, I turned to creativity and nature, I was an energetic and feisty child. I started to draw from the age of three and have not stopped since. I was definitely a naive child and to an extent I still am, so my imagination has always ran wild; whether that was through my art work or just being outdoors with nature or animals.

I love it when my works have greater depth and meaning. “I always want people to see beyond the legitimacy and I guess it’s because of how my intellect is as a person. I just personally think it’s interesting analysing and coming to terms with what’s around you. Humans love to relate with each other to an extent and don’t like to feel left out, so creating that connection through my work with others is nice.”

Back in 2020 I started to get into Custom shoe designing. I have previously worked in a shoe store and always loved Nike as a brand since childhood. So I thought this could be a nice start in promoting my works. The shoe designs vary from influenced designs or my own whether that be because the customer wants a certain topic shown or not.

I have submitted and created a lot projects for competitions and clients, from Basketball team players to ”everyday” people.

• I studied Graphics and 3D Art throughout secondary school. 
• Went on to do Level 3 Art and Design for 2 years in college.
