I’m Olanipekun Babafemi, a Canadian citizen with a background in mental health, psychology, and safety/Security management.
I hold a BA in Psychology and a Certificate in Mental Health, and I’ve spent over a decade working in hospitality and security roles across the UK, USA, and Canada. I’ve worked as a Hotel Security Manager with Da-south Security, and as a Safety Advisor/Manager where I was responsible for guest safety, staff training, risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
What I bring to the table is a mix of operational experience and people skills. My psychology background helps me understand guest and staff needs, de-escalate challenging situations calmly, and maintain a professional, guest-focused environment. I’m comfortable managing teams, handling emergencies discreetly, and working under pressure while keeping service standards high.
Right now I’m looking to step into hotel operations and management roles, particularly in 5-star properties, where I can use my experience to support both guest experience and team performance. I’m proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding brand standards while making sure guests feel safe and well cared for.
