Oliver Jones

I write this as I come to the end of this phase of my life. At 16 years old and having left school in June, I have begun to think about the good times I had at school and prepare myself for the future. As a confident, willing individual, I am seeking an employer who will support my development as I transition into adulthood.

I am keen and eager to learn what it takes to being a great colleague. Through my work experience to date, I have learnt to take responsibility for doing a brilliant job, seek feedback and learn from mistakes, approach every interaction with empathy and optimism and most importantly, do the right thing even if I feel uncomfortable. I am looking for an employer who will build my confidence as well as provide a pathway to a successful career.

In August, I start college at Derby County Community Trust. Having dedicated the last two years to my GCSE's, I am excited to begin this journey whilst at the same time learning valuable skills within the workplace. I will be looking to continue employment around my college studies.

I am committed to being on time, well dressed and in the right frame of mind to listen & learn from experienced colleagues. This can be evidenced by feedback from my work experience and my 100% school attendance.
