Started with voluntary work for two weeks during summer 2014 with a domiciliary care agency for individuals with special needs, running holiday clubs providing respite care for children. Progressed to full-time basis and eventually a managerial role. Day-to-day care of children of all ages with special needs and limitations.
Responsibility of running a 24 hour supported living house/care team for one service user. Supported her to manage finances, medications and involvement of carers in her care. Regularly carried out mental capacity assessments.
Even whilst in managerial role, still supported service users on shifts.
