I am a recent Master’s Graduate of Psychology from the University of Suffolk, having achieved a Distinction in an advanced course of Applications of Psychology. I also hold a First Class (Hons) Bachelors Degree of Science in the subject of Psychology from the University of Leicester. I have experience working with young people and vulnerable individuals who have experiences traumatic brain injuries and I am looking for a position to challenge myself further and progress my career.
My ultimate goal is to gain enough experience to secure a specialisation position in either Clinical, Educational or Occupational Psychology, further exploring my passion for improving mental health and wellbeing.
I have very strong administrative skills due to my experience working in Administrator and Receptionist positions at both an Accountancy Firm in London and a Four Star Hotel.
I also have experience working with young people as I was an English Literature and Language Tutor for GCSE level. I planned and delivered 1:1 lessons with students struggling with English.
I have worked with vulnerable individuals at an organisation called Headway Suffolk, which involved caring for individuals with learning difficulties and traumatic brain injuries. I also organised and carried out communication and cognitive games for these individuals, as well as aiding them with basic tasks such as eating, drinking and baking.
I have a Distinction level MSc degree in Applications of Psychology from the University of Suffolk. I have also achieved a First Class Honours Degree in BSc Psychology from the University of Leicester.
I also achieved a high Distinction (82) in my Master’s Dissertation project which explored the link between boredom and psychopathy and whether this relationship can be mediated by mood priming. During my undergraduate degree I similarly achieved a high First Class grade (82) for my Dissertation project which explored the salience of alcoholic stimuli in individuals with differing motivations for drinking.
