Care Assistant (Volunteer)

Working with a team of 5 care assistants to ensure the delivery of exemplary care to elderly patients presenting with mental health problems such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s, reporting to the floor nurse.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing high standard of care for elderly patients with a focus on everyday care such as personal hygiene, mental stimulation and general well-being.
• Ensuring the accurate completion of all administration and documentation related to patient care.
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary team and promoting empathetic communication with patient’s relatives.
• Ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of patients’ room and communal areas to promote patients’ safety.
• Facilitating and executing social events and activities design to stimulate and entertain the resident.
