I am a very helpful support staff and never afraid to ask questions and get my self stuck right in, I’ve spent 3 years in early years/nursery but have recently joined primary school life and really enjoy it. Throughout my support staff career I’ve always been intertwined with SEN ; I’ve worked closely with students and children with SEN and just recently worked a year as a 1:1 SEN teaching assistant. I’m all for children developing even in the slightest sense I’ll be a mature student studying speech and language therapy.
I had the pleasure of being a 1:1 SEN teaching assistant last academic year, it was very challenging as it was still a mainstream school and had little to none resources for the child but we persisted and the child had an amazing last year in year 6.
I have a level 3 extended Diploma in health and social care from Newcity college and will be a mature student studying speech and language therapy in October.
I have done additional courses such as teaching assistant with Phonics from prospero teaching.
