Orla Forrest

Hey there! Im an artist and creative practitioner with a background in performance and visual art. My main practice centres around video art and sculpture. I also have experience in art direction and set design for performance projects.

Im currently completely my MA in Art and Ecology, where my work has been exploring visual storytelling around the themes of land lore, and blending the modern with the archaic landscape of the uk and Ireland. I have a strong foundation in video editing and visual concept development and I am increasingly focused on expanding into art direction and curation. I can bring a multidisciplinary and environmentally conscious perspective to any collaborative and curatorial projects!

I have recently directed and shot a collection of ‘eco-horror’ short films about Devon folklore and the intersection of ancient craft and herbalism (2023-2025)

I have been a collaborator and assisted on the direction of a recent show ‘obscene to be seen’ with the company Vulvaplicity. A performance lecture on body morphology within myth and storytelling (2022)

I created an autobiographical aerial show and designed the set and costume to create a pagan funeral which was put on at Jackson’s lane in Highgate as part of E15 Physical Theatre showcase (2022)

I am currently on an MA in Art and Ecology which is finish in December 2025
