Oscar Couchie

Friendly, reliable and enthusiastic school leaver who has recently completed GCSEs at The Gatwick School. I have developed strong teamwork, communication and organisational skills through work experience, an overseas educational expedition and achieving a second dan black belt in martial arts. I enjoy working with people, learning new skills and taking on new challenges. I am seeking a part time position where I can contribute positively to a team while gaining valuable workplace experience.

Work Experience - Special Needs School - Manor Green Primary School

• Supported the class teacher with classroom activities and daily routines.
• Assisted pupils with learning tasks and encouraged participation.
• Helped prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment.
• Worked primarily in one class before supporting a different class on the final day.
• Developed communication, patience and teamwork skills while working with staff and pupils.
• Demonstrated responsibility, reliability and a positive attitude throughout the placement.

Educational Expedition Participant - Croatia

Took part in an educational expedition to Croatia with six other students and three members of staff.

• Camped throughout the trip.
• Planned and cooked meals using a shared budget.
• Completed three hikes.
• Took part in kayaking.
• Worked closely with others to solve problems and support the group.
• Developed resilience, teamwork, communication and independence while living and working as part of a small group.
