Oscar Darvell-Green

I'm an alumnus of Richard Hale School in Hertford, where I attained eight GCSEs and three A Levels – English Literature, Drama, and Media Studies. My specialities are sports and drama (having major roles in two successive senior school plays) and I have just completed my third year of studying Film, TV and Digital Production at Bath Spa university, with a view to a career in this industry. I have directed four short films to date, and produced seven.

I'm a hard worker with great dedication and attention to detail.

Hospitality Assistant - BSU Catering - Bath Spa University

I currently work part-time in all the Bath Spa University catering outlets (Cafeteria, Shop, Cafe etc.), mostly though in the Refectory which is the university cafeteria. This job earnt me a lot of hospitality skills such as helping/doing the pot wash, serving food, making coffees, operating the till and handling money, food preparation, deep cleaning (wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping etc.) and being happy and helpful towards customers.

Bartender - LDN Craft

I worked behind the bar at a busy wedding event in August 2023 on a zero hours contract. I served customers drinks and took payments ensuring the guests were served promptly and had a good experience.

Leafleter - Anglian Home Improvements

(2022-06 - 2022-09)

Door-to-door marketing. The company employed me as a leafleter during the summer of 2022. This required physical dedication, walking many miles a day while carrying a heavy load of leaflets. It also required careful planning and logistics, to ensure I covered a suitable range of routes and avoided repeat deliveries in the same neighbourhoods.

A cheerful attitude was also important (not everyone likes getting leaflets) so I had to be diplomatic with 'unhappy customers'. The job had to come to an end when I started my A-Level year and committed harder to my studies.

Kit Model - Bath City FC

(2025-10 - 2025-10)

I was selected to model the Bath City third kit for the 25/26 Season (no fee) in the buildup to their big reveal on student night of that season as part of me being the president of the Bath City FC Society at the university. The photos were distributed all across the club's social media pages and websites as part of the marketing for the kit. It was a great success and my first experience in modelling.

The marketing program ended up winning the 2026 Creative Bath award for best marketing campaign.

Football Team Manager and Coach (Western Geese FC) - Bath Spa University

At Bath Spa University, I took on the role of management and coaching of our own 11-a side team called Western Geese who would train weekly and play in occasional friendly matches with future projected plans to join the Bath and Chippenham Sunday League. Many of the players were close friends to me who hadn't played football properly for a good few years so I used a lot of my previously picked up on skills to help them succeed in getting better. It is one of my proudest leadership achievements and the relationships were built superbly.

Wellbeing Officer - Bath Spa University Sports Societies

I was elected as a wellbeing officer for two Sports based societies at Bath Spa University, those being Badminton and Table Tennis society. This helped me gain experience in managing the wellbeing of society members whilst also increasing my own sports personality.

Volunteer Steward - Hertford Museum - Hertford

I applied for voluntary work during the Summer of 2024 at the Hertford Museum in my hometown. I have been doing a couple of shifts there every now and then when I return from university, in which I have experience working as a steward and in operating the till.

Actor - HHO

(2023-04 - 2023-04)

I acted (no fee) in a short pitching trailer for production company HHO called Mayfair – (https://www.mayfairtvseries.co.uk/). In the week-long shoot, I played the role of a decadent teenage son in a millionaire's family. The trailer was distributed to the Cannes Film Festival as part of a funding application for a TV series.

Student - Film Course - British Film Institute

I was chosen for a highly selective week-long film course at the British Film Institute. This involved meeting up with other young students (none of us has met before) and collaborating over the week to produce a short film together. I wrote and directed as part of my four-strong team, and together we put together 'Musicscape' – (Musicscape) a short story told in the style of a music video. The Institute awarded me a certificate for my work.

Founder - Alenja

Alenja is my own film production outfit, created in November 2021. The main focus is on a non-naturalistic arthouse film style for a series of YouTube movies.

Volunteer - CHIPS

(2019-11 - 2020-03)

I carried out volunteer work for CHIPS, a club for teenagers with learning disabilities, at which they get to play video games and use computers together. My role was to offer support and supervision for the young members. Unfortunately this role was prematurely cut short by the COVID pandemic.

Volunteer Helper - Richard Hale School

While a pupil at Richard Hale I was proactive in extracurricular volunteer work. I was a regular helper at parents' evenings, conducting parents and their children around the school, answering questions and offering assistance as needed. I also helped out regularly in the Drama department, assisting with props, costume and set management.
