I am an experienced research assistant, as I worked with a supervisor during my bachelor's degree. During this time, I collected literature for my supervisor to use for surveys in a research project on social well-being indexes. I finished my degree at the top of my class with a dissertation on Research regarding the social sustainability of consumer markets.
After this, I enrolled on a Master's degree at the University of Warwick. I am conducting further research into the sustainability of consumer markets and will be quantifying variables to analyse the trends. I aim to learn more about research during my second dissertation with my supervisor to expand my understanding of how to quantify and interpret the variables of my topic.
Consequently, it will allow further understanding of how to construct my research in the future as I aim to study for a PhD.
Student Ambassador: I assisted students in understanding their decisions in choosing the relevant courses, allowing the students to identify how they needed to assess the choices of where they did their Bachelor's degree. In addition, I guided the students through the different aspects of the curriculum, career prospects, and student life experience.
Research assistant: I worked as a research assistant during the summer between the end of my second year and the beginning of the third year of my bachelor's degree. During this time, I conducted research on social well-being indexes that were used for my supervisor's social sustainability research. I also developed my secondary research skills and categorised multiple variables based on their relevance for a survey.
In addition, I ensured to speak with my supervisor in weekly meetings so that the work could be used during the collaboration with another university's research centre.
