I am a self-determined, enthusiastic, imaginative engineer. Throughout a 13-month placement at Bosch Thermotechnik I refined my practical skillset, gaining confidence in my ability to apply inventive solutions to problems. Whilst I do relish opportunities for team collaboration, I thrive when given independence and responsibility whilst working on my own projects, going above and beyond to reach the best results.

In my Masters I specialised in Thermodynamics and Fluid Dynamics, as well as undertaking business management modules to broaden my horizon. Upon moving to Germany I hope to extend my experience in consumer products.

Bosch Thermotechnik GmbH, Engineering Product Quality Intern (13-month placement) (2019-2020)

• Conducted lifetime and robustness test investigations with a particular focus on transport and packaging testing to ensure white goods arrive undamaged in pristine condition
• Constructed prototypes for wall mounted device, including PCB design conception through to development
• Carried out regular test rig maintenance, boiler teardowns as well as testing and recording early warning parts
• Ordering and procurement – Liaising with 3rd party engineering test houses, ordering all the laboratory consumables and arranging business travel for the team
• Other responsibilities – Asset management for R&D, Capacity and KPI reports of laboratory test rigs, and offering customers & installers advice in the technical call center within the winter season

Pick Everard, Engineering Building Consultancy Intern (2018)

• Two weeks of work experience in both the Electrical-Mechanical and Structural engineering sectors of building services
• Responsible for selecting the Lux levels for the refurbishment of Leicester General Hospital, in accordance with British Standards
• Completed 3 structural site surveys

Co-operative, (Food Retail) – Customer Service Assistant (2016-2017)

• Trained new staff members in all areas of the store
• Trusted with counting up daily revenue, as well as locking up the store and checking delivered goods
• Developed the well-being of staff members of the store by liaising with team leaders, store manager and the regional executive
• Efficient whilst carrying out inventory, reductions, and food waste which had strict time restraints set
• Was eager to participate in additional training to be proficient in all areas of the store
