I am currently a third year student at the University of Chester. My educational journey includes the successful completion of a Foundation Degree and currently completing my level 6 to have a Business Management Degree, both of which have equipped me with a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of business concepts. Working in hospitality over the past 7 years has created a passion and drive when being at work.

Penventon Park Hotel - Redruth

Bartender

This four star hotel has provided me with knowledge as to how a bar is run. This hotel has 1 main bar attached to the restaurant, and then two function rooms, each with their own bar.

Main responsibilities

• Serving a range of beverages, including wines, cocktails, craft beers and soft drinks to up to 300 people on function nights. 
• Studied and memorised a variety of cocktails and mocktails recipes, and pairing recommendations for wine. 
• Maintained and organised three bar areas by cleaning down surfaces, replenishing fruit and other ingredients and stocking up. 
• Working in coordination with a large team to maintain a safe and professional environment and ensure everything runs smoothly throughout each shift.
• Upsell items based on certain requests and form a good communication with any guests that are at the hotel.

Restaurant Supervisor

This holiday park helped me to understand how to manage a small team, communicate within a larger team of senior employees and ensure an upstanding customer experience, specifically when dealing with complaints.

At Iceland I worked the early morning shift (3:00 - 9:00) and packed bags for that day's deliveries. I also worked day shifts, serving and helping customers, as well as restocking shelves.

I joined Lands End positioned within the hotel restaurant and bar. I worked as a front of house member for the hotel, and a catering assistant for the site.

• Interacting one-on-one with customers and ensuring they were provided with an excellent evening. 
• Cleaning and up-keep of the restaurant, ensuring the cutlery was polished and
