As a MSc graduate, I have never been more passionate about mechanical engineering. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in engineering principles specializing in FEA and CFD. Through hands-on projects, internships, and collaborative research, I’ve developed skills in 3D modeling, CAD and CAE softwares. Beyond technical skills, I am driven by curiosity and a commitment to advancing sustainable engineering practices.
I hold an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Kingston University and have hands-on experience in CAD design, FEA simulation, and mechanical system integration. During my internship at Ekbatan Gas Control Co., I designed a multi-spindle drilling mechanism using SolidWorks, applying GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and producing manufacturing-ready technical drawings. I have also led interdisciplinary projects such as the SmartGrate IoT drainage system, involving feasibility analysis, sensor integration, and cross-functional teamwork.
In my academic research, I used ANSYS, ABAQUS, and FLUENT for CFD/FEA modelling of hydrogel micro-valves, resulting in a published paper in the International Journal of Applied Mechanics. I am proficient in simulation-led design, DFM principles, and thermal/structural analysis. My background as a teacher has also strengthened my technical communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.
Research, Innovation and sustainability techniques
Dissertation – aerodynamic and structural optimisation of a full-size SUV using CFD/FEA; drag reduction, composite layups, and spoiler re-design.
This integrated coursework has prepared me to approach complex mechanical engineering problems with analytical precision and design insight, particularly in simulation, performance analysis, and design for manufacture.
