On completion of my MSc in Corporate Environmental Management at Surrey University I secured a role as Graduate Recruitment Consultant at Hamlyn Williams (London). I then progressed onto the role of Management Assistant for Enterprise Rent-A-Car (Staffordshire). I actively sought opportunities whilst in these roles to further my keen interest and understanding of the financial performance of the businesses and was able to develop a range of skills including analysis, communication, problem solving and customer service.
Furthermore, whilst working for Enterprise (the largest hire car firm in the UK with 470 branches and 10,000 worldwide) I gained valuable insight into the organisational structure and financial operations of a large international company. This work experience cemented my ambition to become a qualified accountant. Having pursued a career in accounting I managed to secure a position on 2 Sisters prestigious graduate scheme.
I was given my first of 3 rotations as a site accountant based out of Coupar Angus working within the poultry sector. I am now looking for a role within the area as I have decided to move permanently to the area.
ACCA (2020-Present) – Professional Accountancy Qualification
Currently studying for the ACCA professional qualification. Having already successfully completed 4 modules and currently studying in my own time Financial Management alongside Audit and Assurance.
