I am a young motivated person looking to change my career from the building sector to a more rewarding role on the support sector. The building industry has enabled me to improve my communication skills and gain the ability to push myself to completing tasks in hand. I would really like to go on to helping young people struggling with life as I feel I can relate to them in this role. I would also like to go into customer care in retail industry.

I helped out in the building firm with family doing all aspects of building including carpentry, dry lining, roofing, patio block laying and bricklaying. My duties mainly consisted of loading out materials and cleaning up work areas, occasionally I would help with skilled work involved.
06/2016 - 01/2018
I worked here as a truss operative my duties were to assemble trusses to the high standard EU and British building regulations and work the truss press according to the speculations for the customer. I was also responsible for the calibration and maintenance of the industrial saw to ensure accurate cuts for the job in hand, to unload lorries and place packs of wood in the yard using either the counterbalance or the combi-lift fork lifts, to load lorries up for delivery to customers and to make sure the work area was clean and tidy for work everyday.

I was self employed here and done work for this company as a hod carrier/bricklayer my duties were to load out bricks and mortar for the bricklayers ensuring they didn’t run out of materials keeping 1 plot ahead of them at a time I would also pick up a trowel and lay brick to the plan given to me and tidy up the work area after each working day.
03/2019 - 09/2019
I was self employed here as a hod carrier/bricklayer which my duties duties were to load out brick and blocks for the bricklayers ensuring they didn’t run out of materials and would pick up a trowel and lay bricks, I was also put in charge of 10 men to make sure they met there daily targets and work was complete and the area was tidied at the end of each working day.
09/2019 - 11/2019
I trained here self employed as a sticker plaster board operative (dot and dab) my duties were to stick player board to the walls for pre plaster and load out plaster board for the day I would also have to clean each plot on completion. It was here I ran out of love with the building industry and thought about a career change.
